Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Services and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.47% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.49% or 45.0 points to trade at 3075.0 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) added 1.23% or 420.0 points to end at 34600.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 0.63% or 50.0 points to 8000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promigas (CN:PMG), which lost 4.64% or 360.0 points to trade at 7400.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 3.10% or 70.0 points to end at 2185.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 1.53% or 520.0 points to 33480.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 5 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.49% or 0.53 to $107.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.47% or 10.00 to hit $2119.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1219.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.08% to 2944.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.85% to 761.27.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 96.17.
