Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.94% or 0.5 points to trade at 17.5 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 2.38% or 150.0 points to end at 6450.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 2.28% or 780.0 points to 34980.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which lost 4.47% or 1140.0 points to trade at 24360.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 2.29% or 400.0 points to end at 17100.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 2.03% or 40.0 points to 1935.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 12 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 2.25% or 3.17 to $137.65 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.58% or 16.00 to hit $2772.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 0.45% or 5.40 to trade at $1193.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.03% to 2509.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.79% to 802.55.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 97.42.
