Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 4.87% or 130.0 points to trade at 2800.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 4.20% or 70.0 points to end at 1735.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 2.72% or 260.0 points to 9830.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 1.11% or 15.0 points to trade at 1340.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 0.98% or 180.0 points to end at 18220.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) shed 0.82% or 80.0 points to 9670.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.88% or 2.36 to $122.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.29% or 27.00 to hit $2120.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.20 to trade at $1276.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.84% to 3065.65, while BRL/COP rose 0.99% to 938.17.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 94.69.
