Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 4.38% or 90.0 points to trade at 2145.0 at the close. Promigas (CN:PMG) added 4.17% or 280.0 points to end at 7000.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 2.47% or 540.0 points to 22440.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 3.13% or 11.0 points to trade at 340.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 2.15% or 7.0 points to end at 319.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.74% or 500.0 points to 67480.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 4 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.30% or 1.40 to $106.50 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 3.52% or 73.50 to hit $2017.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.30 to trade at $1202.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.41% to 3014.85, while BRL/COP rose 1.80% to 776.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 95.43.
