Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.77% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 5.26% or 1000.0 points to trade at 20000.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 3.37% or 340.0 points to end at 10440.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 2.72% or 220.0 points to 8300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which lost 1.90% or 300.0 points to trade at 15500.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 0.34% or 40.0 points to end at 11600.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 0.22% or 40.0 points to 18520.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 4 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 1.84% or 1.95 to $103.95 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.25% or 5.50 to hit $2173.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.95 to trade at $1322.25 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.43% to 3089.90, while BRL/COP fell 0.93% to 843.53.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 95.308.
