Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.76% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.19% or 320.0 points to trade at 10360.0 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) added 1.77% or 700.0 points to end at 40300.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) was up 1.76% or 680.0 points to 39300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 1.59% or 20.0 points to trade at 1235.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.24% or 780.0 points to end at 62200.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 0.81% or 5.0 points to 613.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 4 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.33% or 1.67 to $127.67 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 1.42% or 27.50 to hit $1959.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.03 to trade at $1224.23 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.01% to 3046.56, while BRL/COP fell 0.16% to 920.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 95.99.
