Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.34% or 55.0 points to trade at 2405.0 at the close. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) added 1.59% or 220.0 points to end at 14020.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 1.50% or 360.0 points to 24360.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 1.97% or 150.0 points to trade at 7450.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 1.63% or 320.0 points to end at 19340.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 1.28% or 15.0 points to 1155.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.31% or 1.45 to $109.47 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 2.85% or 64.00 to hit $2312.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 9.40 to trade at $1222.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.03% to 2884.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.34% to 769.90.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 94.53.
