Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which rose 2.31% or 105.0 points to trade at 4655.0 at the close. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) added 2.27% or 820.0 points to end at 36920.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 2.02% or 190.0 points to 9590.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 1.40% or 140.0 points to trade at 9840.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 0.78% or 0.2 points to end at 25.5 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) shed 0.75% or 100.0 points to 13180.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.31% or 0.39 to $126.83 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.97% or 21.00 to hit $2143.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 4.04 to trade at $1278.86 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.38% to 3028.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.38% to 914.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 93.71.
