Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Conconcret (CN:CIC), which rose 8.47% or 21.0 points to trade at 269.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) added 7.84% or 20.0 points to end at 275.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 1.99% or 400.0 points to 20500.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 4.51% or 410.0 points to trade at 8690.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 1.73% or 60.0 points to end at 3405.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 1.69% or 20.0 points to 1160.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.72% or 2.03 to $119.83 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.09% or 2.00 to hit $2266.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1234.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.49% to 3177.95, while BRL/COP fell 0.70% to 859.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 96.27.
