Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.56% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO), which rose 2.29% or 40.00 points to trade at 1,785.00 at the close. Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) added 2.29% or 300.00 points to end at 13,400.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) was up 2.05% or 780.00 points to 38,780.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which lost 3.77% or 1,300.00 points to trade at 33,200.00 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH) declined 1.25% or 1,000.00 points to end at 79,000.00 and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) shed 0.94% or 100.00 points to 10,500.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.70% or 1.97 to $284.17 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 3.02% or 251.00 to hit $8,566.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 21.05 to trade at $2,635.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.02% to 4,395.99, while BRL/COP fell 0.41% to 761.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 106.12.
