Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.41% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 3.79% or 80.0 points to trade at 2190.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 1.71% or 170.0 points to end at 10140.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 1.57% or 180.0 points to 11680.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p), which lost 1.89% or 25.0 points to trade at 1295.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.09% or 740.0 points to end at 67460.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) shed 1.04% or 50.0 points to 4750.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 12 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.32% or 0.40 to $124.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.53% or 10.00 to hit $1897.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.20 to trade at $1296.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.47% to 2986.72, while BRL/COP rose 0.56% to 901.81.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 92.33.
