Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.28% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (CN:ETB), which rose 1.98% or 5.0 points to trade at 257.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 1.44% or 200.0 points to end at 14100.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) was up 1.06% or 360.0 points to 34480.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 6.54% or 25.0 points to trade at 357.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 2.09% or 220.0 points to end at 10300.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 1.81% or 20.0 points to 1085.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 3.92% or 4.00 to $106.10 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.05% or 1.00 to hit $2175.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 10.55 to trade at $1326.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.79% to 3105.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.93% to 851.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 95.297.
