Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment, Services and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 3.20% or 75.0 points to trade at 2420.0 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 1.67% or 320.0 points to end at 19460.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 0.74% or 180.0 points to 24480.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 2.13% or 170.0 points to trade at 7820.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.20% or 100.0 points to end at 8200.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) shed 0.87% or 40.0 points to 4540.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.95% or 1.04 to $108.08 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 2.99% or 72.00 to hit $2335.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1227.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.22% to 2876.45, while BRL/COP rose 0.15% to 748.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.84.
