Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 7.22% or 840.0 points to trade at 12480.0 at the close. Conconcret (CN:CIC) added 2.56% or 8.0 points to end at 320.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 1.63% or 220.0 points to 13680.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 2.83% or 170.0 points to trade at 5840.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.64% or 35.0 points to end at 2100.0 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) shed 1.19% or 160.0 points to 13280.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 10 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.80% or 0.85 to $106.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 3.43% or 75.00 to hit $2112.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.20 to trade at $1242.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.12% to 3170.35, while BRL/COP fell 0.69% to 819.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 97.005.
