Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.44% or 25.0 points to trade at 1765.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 1.33% or 380.0 points to end at 28900.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 0.92% or 90.0 points to 9900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 1.91% or 25.0 points to trade at 1285.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 1.48% or 15.0 points to end at 1000.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 1.37% or 7.0 points to 503.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.32% or 0.40 to $124.30 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.57% or 12.00 to hit $2119.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.85% or 10.92 to trade at $1292.62 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.57% to 2977.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.51% to 923.42.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.75% at 93.19.
