Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Public Services, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA), which rose 3.36% or 460.0 points to trade at 14160.0 at the close. Conconcret (CN:CIC) added 3.03% or 10.0 points to end at 340.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.60% or 260.0 points to 16560.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which lost 3.45% or 600.0 points to trade at 16800.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.94% or 50.0 points to end at 1650.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 1.96% or 640.0 points to 31960.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.51% or 1.50 to $100.90 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.85% or 42.00 to hit $2313.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 6.50 to trade at $1247.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.61% to 3216.75, while BRL/COP rose 0.73% to 823.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 96.412.
