Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 0.79% or 100.0 points to trade at 12800.0 at the close. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) added 0.08% or 20.0 points to end at 24920.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 0.05% or 20.0 points to 37720.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 4.26% or 100.0 points to trade at 2250.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 2.50% or 600.0 points to end at 23400.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 2.47% or 940.0 points to 37060.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.70% or 0.96 to $136.02 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.09% or 33.00 to hit $2983.00 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.55% or 7.25 to trade at $1329.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.90% to 3027.50, while BRL/COP rose 4.40% to 892.36.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.99% at 96.58.
