Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 3.88% or 6.8 points to trade at 182.1 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 2.42% or 3.56 points to end at 150.56 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.89% or 11.5 points to 619.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which lost 1.28% or 1.40 points to trade at 108.10 in late trade. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) declined 1.23% or 2.60 points to end at 208.10 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) shed 1.23% or 3.00 points to 241.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 373 to 340 and 78 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.39% or 0.59 to $43.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.63% or 0.73 to hit $45.55 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.42 to trade at $1252.22 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.12% to 9.7586, while USD/SEK rose 0.07% to 8.7530.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.30.
