Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 2.58% or 0.66 points to trade at 26.24 at the close. Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI) added 0.76% or 0.42 points to end at 55.44 and Proximus NV (EBR:PROX) was up 0.44% or 0.03 points to 6.81 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP), which lost 2.57% or 0.64 points to trade at 24.26 in late trade. Aedifica (EBR:AOO) declined 1.44% or 0.90 points to end at 61.80 and Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) shed 1.43% or 6.70 points to 460.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 46 to 46 and 19 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.34% or 8.65 to $2,546.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.16% or 1.67 to hit $75.75 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.90% or 1.53 to trade at $78.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.66.
