Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General unchanged 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which rose 6.67% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.480 at the close. Intergroup (LM:IFS) added 4.35% or 1.000 points to end at 24.000 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 3.77% or 0.200 points to 5.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC), which lost 3.35% or 0.83 points to trade at 23.97 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 3.13% or 0.010 points to end at 0.310 and Milpo (LM:MIL) shed 1.79% or 0.030 points to 1.650.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 7 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.36% or 1.10 to $33.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 3.44% or 1.22 to hit $36.66 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.52% or 18.60 to trade at $1239.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.17% to 3.5165, while EUR/PEN fell 1.42% to 3.8338.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 98.27.
