Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Telecoms and Construction & Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which rose 5.91% or 0.42 points to trade at 7.60 at the close. Altice NV (AS:ATCA) added 4.22% or 0.67 points to end at 16.41 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) was up 3.98% or 0.20 points to 5.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Heineken (AS:HEIN), which lost 1.17% or 0.97 points to trade at 82.15 in late trade. Randstad (AS:RAND) declined 0.37% or 0.20 points to end at 54.13 and Relx NV (AS:RELN) shed 0.13% or 0.020 points to 15.530.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 127 to 51 and 2 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.16% to 20.05.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.86% or 0.40 to $46.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.24% or 0.61 to hit $48.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.59% or 6.70 to trade at $1134.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1021, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.7146.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 96.94.
