Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.35% or 30.0 points to trade at 1305.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 2.06% or 360.0 points to end at 17860.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.75% or 320.0 points to 18600.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 1.34% or 8.0 points to trade at 589.0 in late trade. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) declined 1.13% or 110.0 points to end at 9630.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 1.09% or 320.0 points to 28960.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.42% or 0.62 to $148.32 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.78% or 22.00 to hit $2831.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1269.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.64% to 2930.09, while BRL/COP fell 0.44% to 910.36.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 96.14.
