Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 2.21% or 6.0 points to trade at 277.7 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) added 1.86% or 4.0 points to end at 219.6 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) was up 0.82% or 2.4 points to 293.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DSV (CO:DSV), which lost 1.31% or 4.3 points to trade at 324.3 in late trade. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) declined 1.26% or 6.5 points to end at 508.5 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) shed 1.15% or 2.9 points to 250.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 62 and 24 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.34% or 1.14 to $49.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.14% or 1.09 to hit $51.96 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.35 to trade at $1265.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.01% to 6.6422, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4406.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 96.17.
