Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Mining and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 1.85% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Destinasi Tirta Nusantara Tbk (JK:PDES), which rose 23.33% or 56 points to trade at 296 at the close. Nipress Tbk (JK:NIPS) added 18.69% or 74 points to end at 470 and Indo Kordsa Tbk (JK:BRAM) was up 17.23% or 1275 points to 8675 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Asuransi Bintang Tbk (JK:ASBI), which lost 10.00% or 44.00 points to trade at 396.00 in late trade. Asuransi Multi Artha Guna Tbk (JK:AMAG) declined 10.00% or 40 points to end at 360 and Multifiling Mitra Indonesia (JK:MFMI) shed 9.85% or 26 points to 238.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 203 to 102 and 77 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.02% or 0.49 to $48.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.08% or 0.54 to hit $50.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.50 to trade at $1320.60 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.43% to 12965.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.40% to 9954.90.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.44.
