Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Pharmaceutical Industry and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND), which rose 6.00% or 20.10 points to trade at 355.10 at the close. SMI (CS:SMI) added 5.98% or 166 points to end at 2941 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 5.51% or 5.30 points to 101.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 5.97% or 86 points to trade at 1354 in late trade. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 5.77% or 49 points to end at 799 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 4.49% or 2.40 points to 51.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.09% or 0.54 to $49.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.69% or 0.35 to hit $50.71 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1216.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.18% to 10.8800, while USD/MAD rose 0.02% to 9.7661.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.77.
