BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany will spare no effort to help its economy weather the coronavirus crisis and is in talks with its European Union partners about how to minimize the economic impact of the outbreak, a finance ministry spokesman said on Friday.
"We are in talks with our European partners about how we can come out of this crisis in good shape," said Denis Kolberg when asked if Germany would be ready to back common bonds for the euro zone to finance a stimulus package in the currency bloc.
