Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 11.11% or 0.029 points to trade at 0.290 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 3.85% or 0.050 points to end at 1.350 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was up 2.68% or 0.110 points to 4.210 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which lost 5.41% or 0.400 points to trade at 7.000 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 4.41% or 0.006 points to end at 0.130 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) shed 4.26% or 1.20 points to 27.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.07% or 0.03 to $45.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $48.60 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1145.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2835, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5923.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 97.36.
