Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 3.13% or 50.0 points to trade at 1650.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 1.80% or 60.0 points to end at 3390.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.10% or 280.0 points to 25700.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 42.39% or 4680.0 points to trade at 6360.0 in late trade. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) declined 0.28% or 100.0 points to end at 36100.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 59900.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.14% or 0.17 to $125.22 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 1.22% or 39.50 to hit $3282.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.31% or 3.60 to trade at $1159.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.39% to 2673.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.09% to 829.82.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 96.67.
