Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Agriculture & Food, Hotels & Tourism and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220), which rose 6.88% or 0.75 points to trade at 11.65 at the close. Saudi Transport & Investment Co (SE:4110) added 4.23% or 2.75 points to end at 67.75 and Alinma Tokio Marine Co (SE:8312) was up 3.32% or 0.80 points to 24.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050), which lost 6.18% or 0.85 points to trade at 12.90 in late trade. Middle East Paper Co (SE:1202) declined 5.19% or 1.40 points to end at 25.60 and Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) shed 5.04% or 1.80 points to 33.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 142 to 24 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.11% or 0.04 to $37.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.57% or 0.23 to hit $40.34 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.40 to trade at $1073.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.78% to 4.1044, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7516.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 97.84.
