Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 2.13% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 12.49% or 18.4 points to trade at 165.7 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 10.38% or 23.2 points to end at 246.8 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) was up 9.66% or 19.4 points to 220.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which lost 1.01% or 2.1 points to trade at 206.4 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 0.72% or 0.80 points to end at 110.40 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKI) shed 0.26% or 0.15 points to 57.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 328 to 114 and 5 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.06% or 0.03 to $51.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.52% or 0.29 to hit $57.41 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.33% or 3.80 to trade at $1143.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 9.3043, while USD/SEK rose 0.40% to 8.5398.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 97.66.
