Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Media, Materials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 9.23% or 1.79 points to trade at 21.18 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 4.45% or 0.72 points to end at 16.91 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 4.13% or 1.40 points to 35.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 5.90% or 1.1 points to trade at 17.7 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 4.02% or 0.05 points to end at 1.17 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) shed 3.77% or 3.8 points to 97.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 60 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.13% or 0.93 to $44.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.14% or 0.98 to hit $46.75 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.55% or 7.15 to trade at $1317.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.22% to 9.2595, while USD/NOK fell 0.47% to 8.2830.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 95.71.
