Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems (CO:VWS), which rose 2.47% or 10.3 points to trade at 427.2 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) added 1.75% or 7.5 points to end at 435.7 and William Demant Holding (CO:WDH) was up 1.37% or 8.5 points to 627.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which lost 1.53% or 0.56 points to trade at 35.93 in late trade. Novo Nordisk B (CO:NOVOb) declined 0.70% or 2.6 points to end at 368.1 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) shed 0.48% or 1.2 points to 249.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 72 and 4 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.01% or 0.41 to $41.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.07% or 0.47 to hit $43.99 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.32% or 3.50 to trade at $1084.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.63% to 6.9701, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4619.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 99.35.
