Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 16.65% or 1330.0 points to trade at 9320.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 5.11% or 460.0 points to end at 9460.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 3.91% or 1020.0 points to 27080.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS), which lost 4.80% or 1880.0 points to trade at 37260.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 3.01% or 400.0 points to end at 12900.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) shed 1.90% or 0.4 points to 20.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 11 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 0.78% or 1.05 to $133.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.52% or 15.00 to hit $2883.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 1.12% or 13.20 to trade at $1187.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.75% to 2409.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.51% to 781.29.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 95.59.
