Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 3.09% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which fell 1.62% or 8.5 points to trade at 516.5 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) fell 1.81% or 3.3 points to end at 179.2 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was down 2.07% or 2.6 points to 123.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 7.70% or 1.48 points to trade at 17.74 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 5.94% or 26.80 points to end at 424.10 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 5.65% or 6.60 points to 110.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 495 to 78 and 4 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 5.51% or 1.63 to $27.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 4.50% or 1.29 to hit $27.46 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.37% or 14.90 to trade at $1104.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.46% to 9.3620, while USD/SEK rose 0.50% to 8.5841.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 99.06.
