Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Insurance and Distributors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 7.58% or 1.35 points to trade at 19.15 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) added 5.80% or 7.90 points to end at 144.00 and Microdata (CS:MIC) was up 3.16% or 4.50 points to 146.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alliances (CS:ADI), which lost 10.00% or 16 points to trade at 144 in late trade. Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) declined 8.84% or 13.20 points to end at 136.00 and Samir (CS:SAMI) shed 5.00% or 8.25 points to 156.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 17 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.53% or 1.98 to $58.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 3.50% or 2.19 to hit $64.92 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.90 to trade at $1190.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.39% to 10.7210, while USD/MAD fell 0.48% to 9.9217.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 97.61.
