Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.94% or 84 points to trade at 4425 at the close. Discount (TA:DSCT) added 1.32% or 8.5 points to end at 651.0 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 1.23% or 710 points to 58580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which lost 7.28% or 16.5 points to trade at 210.2 in late trade. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 6.25% or 72 points to end at 1080 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) shed 3.92% or 2480 points to 60800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 170 to 158 and 125 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.81% or 0.32 to $39.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.24% or 0.51 to hit $40.52 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1222.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.18% to 3.8292, while EUR/ILS rose 0.22% to 4.2947.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.86.
