Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.75% to hit a new 3-year low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 4.35% or 480.0 points to trade at 11520.0 at the close. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) added 2.34% or 90.0 points to end at 3940.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 1.66% or 150.0 points to 9190.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p), which lost 4.62% or 1440.0 points to trade at 29720.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 3.90% or 270.0 points to end at 6660.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 2.82% or 580.0 points to 20000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 3.91% or 4.70 to $124.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.09% or 36.50 to hit $3374.50 , while the February Gold contract rose 0.97% or 10.20 to trade at $1064.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.06% to 3163.50, while BRL/COP rose 2.05% to 841.33.
The US Dollar Index was down 2.36% at 97.69.
