Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 18.10% or 1180.0 points to trade at 7700.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 2.63% or 0.5 points to end at 19.5 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.22% or 45.0 points to 3745.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS), which lost 1.40% or 500.0 points to trade at 35100.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 1.14% or 160.0 points to end at 13840.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) shed 0.84% or 10.0 points to 1175.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 2.15% or 2.92 to $138.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.60% or 45.00 to hit $2855.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1198.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.96% to 2483.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.56% to 823.33.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.74% at 97.81.
