Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 10.78% or 0.71 points to trade at 7.34 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 9.11% or 2.35 points to end at 28.14 and Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) was up 5.91% or 2.05 points to 36.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 10.82% or 1.0600 points to trade at 8.7350 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 5.60% or 0.670 points to end at 11.290 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 4.22% or 1.59 points to 36.09.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 75 to 62 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.02% or 1.06 to $51.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.98% or 0.98 to hit $48.64 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.95 to trade at $1267.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.0871, while EUR/GBP fell 0.73% to 0.8427.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 99.04.
