Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 1.81% or 0.72 points to trade at 40.52 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 0.98% or 0.0220 points to end at 2.2580 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was up 0.85% or 0.12 points to 14.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V), which lost 3.25% or 1.13 points to trade at 33.61 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 2.70% or 0.180 points to end at 6.485 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 2.58% or 0.23 points to 8.88.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 86 and 5 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 3.51% or 1.19 to $35.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 3.53% or 1.14 to hit $33.44 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.17% or 1.90 to trade at $1113.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.53% to 1.0951, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.7620.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.47% at 98.56.
