Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 0.75% or 2.10 points to trade at 282.80 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 0.75% or 0.80 points to end at 106.80 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 0.64% or 0.80 points to 125.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 2.60% or 1.24 points to trade at 46.39 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (BS:KINVBs) declined 1.16% or 2.8 points to end at 237.9 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) shed 0.97% or 1.6 points to 163.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 420 to 242 and 89 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.10% or 0.58 to $53.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.00% or 0.55 to hit $55.63 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 8.15 to trade at $1224.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.09% to 9.5380, while USD/SEK fell 0.56% to 9.0356.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 101.90.
