Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Materials and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 3.18% or 2.57 points to trade at 83.47 at the close. Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) added 2.45% or 0.880 points to end at 36.870 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) was up 2.20% or 6.300 points to 293.260 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which lost 3.68% or 16.680 points to trade at 437.000 in late trade. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 2.58% or 0.530 points to end at 20.000 and America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL) shed 1.52% or 0.170 points to 11.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 65 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.38% or 4.75 to $1252.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $50.34 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.03 to trade at $52.00 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.38% to 18.9978, while EUR/MXN fell 0.39% to 20.8493.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 98.05.
