Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 3.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 9.52% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Vestel (IS:VESTL) added 8.55% or 0.300 points to end at 3.810 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was up 7.17% or 0.80 points to 11.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which lost 3.64% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.590 in late trade. Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) declined 1.76% or 0.40 points to end at 22.30 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) shed 0.79% or 0.20 points to 25.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 353 to 48 and 10 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 1.52% or 17.50 to $1136.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.24% or 1.24 to hit $39.48 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.70% or 0.72 to trade at $43.41 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.41% to 2.9306, while EUR/TRY fell 2.21% to 3.3443.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.36% at 94.65.
