Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 2.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V), which rose 0.28% or 0.06 points to trade at 21.24 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) fell 1.03% or 0.35 points to end at 33.73 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) was down 1.08% or 0.30 points to 27.53 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which lost 6.85% or 0.1520 points to trade at 2.0680 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 4.40% or 0.22 points to end at 4.69 and Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) shed 4.23% or 0.150 points to 3.396.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 145 to 32 and 4 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.38% or 1.16 to $47.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.36% or 1.08 to hit $44.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.08% or 12.40 to trade at $1133.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1235, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.7390.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 96.09.
