Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Obrascon Huarte Lain (MC:OHL), which rose 7.31% or 0.497 points to trade at 7.294 at the close. Sacyr (MC:SCYR) added 3.84% or 0.085 points to end at 2.284 and Abengoa B (MC:ABGek) was up 3.04% or 0.026 points to 0.882 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BBVA (MC:BBVA), which lost 3.84% or 0.311 points to trade at 7.809 in late trade. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) declined 2.96% or 1.185 points to end at 38.790 and Int.Airl.Grp (MC:ICAG) shed 2.11% or 0.176 points to 8.150.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 110 to 105 and 10 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.51% or 5.80 to $1141.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.50% or 0.69 to hit $46.75 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.85% or 0.91 to trade at $49.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1023, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.7132.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 96.87.
