Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 6.42% or 12.1 points to trade at 200.6 at the close. Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) added 2.44% or 5.5 points to end at 230.6 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.34% or 7.0 points to 530.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which lost 1.92% or 3.1 points to trade at 158.4 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 0.97% or 0.33 points to end at 33.83 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 0.75% or 0.60 points to 79.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 221 to 214 and 7 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.21% or 1.91 to $43.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.12% or 1.54 to hit $48.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.44% or 5.00 to trade at $1134.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.65% to 9.4681, while USD/SEK fell 0.01% to 8.4215.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 95.80.
