Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO), which rose 19.77% or 0.510 points to trade at 3.090 at the close. AK Enerji (IS:AKENR) added 7.06% or 0.060 points to end at 0.910 and Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) was up 3.82% or 0.100 points to 2.720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which lost 3.95% or 0.210 points to trade at 5.100 in late trade. Turk Hava Yollari (IS:THYAO) declined 2.88% or 0.170 points to end at 5.740 and Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) shed 2.47% or 0.39 points to 15.41.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 203 to 150 and 52 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.85% or 10.55 to $1244.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.21% or 0.59 to hit $48.32 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.97% or 0.50 to trade at $51.12 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 3.6203, while EUR/TRY rose 0.79% to 3.9163.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 99.49.
