Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Banking & Financials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC), which rose 1.96% or 0.220 points to trade at 11.420 at the close. Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) added 0.49% or 0.900 points to end at 185.900 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was up 0.34% or 2.500 points to 727.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lt Group (PS:LTG), which lost 3.15% or 0.400 points to trade at 12.280 in late trade. Metropolitan B (PS:MBT) declined 2.38% or 1.95 points to end at 79.95 and Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) shed 2.18% or 2.9000 points to 130.0000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 71 and 13 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.50 to $1118.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.78% or 1.28 to hit $44.77 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.04% or 0.49 to trade at $48.12 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.04% to 7.3699, while USD/PHP fell 0.04% to 46.915.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 96.10.
