Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Basic Industry and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite fell 3.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Eagle High Plantations Tbk (JK:BWPT), which rose 24.65% or 53 points to trade at 268 at the close. Express Transindo Utama Tbk (JK:TAXI) added 16.61% or 47 points to end at 330 and Intikeramik Alamasri Industri (JK:IKAI) was up 6.48% or 7 points to 115 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tigaraksa Satria Tbk (JK:TGKA), which lost 10.00% or 530 points to trade at 4770 in late trade. Pelayaran Tempuran Emas Tbk (JK:TMAS) declined 10.00% or 155 points to end at 1395 and Global Mediacom Tbk (JK:BMTR) shed 10.00% or 110 points to 990.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 251 to 73 and 37 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.49% or 0.23 to $46.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $50.18 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.85% or 9.90 to trade at $1154.60 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.71% to 13608.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.99% to 9779.45.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 94.83.
