Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 3.34% or 1.47 points to trade at 45.50 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 2.54% or 2.35 points to end at 95.00 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 1.45% or 3.0 points to 209.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 3.29% or 3.00 points to trade at 88.30 in late trade. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 2.00% or 3.0 points to end at 146.9 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) shed 1.57% or 2.60 points to 162.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 371 to 220 and 68 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.96% or 0.48 to $49.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.24% or 0.63 to hit $50.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.39% or 5.00 to trade at $1268.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.7197, while USD/SEK fell 0.25% to 8.9025.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 98.52.
